Week 9: Final week

  Working as a Pocketnest intern week 9: August 10th-August 15th     Wrapping up my last week as an intern for Pocketnest through Annarbor Spark. This last week has been very stressful, but fulfilling. I seem to be stressed because I didn't finish my last two "assigned projects", but I have to remember that creating videos takes a lot of time and this internship was only 9 weeks long. I feel accomplished that I learned many new editing skills throughout this internship, and a video I created has been posted on Pocketnest's social media accounts and website. I love seeing my work shown, it makes me feel happy.      I don't think working in-person would have changed my experience as much. I loved working remotely since editing is all done through a computer. I feel that if this internship was in-person, I would have maybe played around with other video formats, and maybe used my own camera for some cool short commercial type videos for the company. WEEK 8: Creative Funk

Working as a Pocketnest intern week 7: August 3rd-August 9th      Are you a creative, stuck in a creative funk? Here are some tips to get out of it, and ways to get inspired and motivated again.  Tip #1: Surround yourself with creatives     I feel that when I surround myself with creative people or I am in a creative environment, I feel more inspired. I think that looking at others creative ways of thinking, or their work can really help motivate you to do something of your own. Being in a creative environment or a brand new environment can also help.  Tip #2:Relax-Daydream     Relaxing or daydreaming can help create new thoughts. Being in a busy state of mind can really cause stress and create a barrier in creative thinking. I like to lay down and listen to music and just think. I also love long car rides where I can stare out the window for a long period of time and new thoughts come around.  Tip #3:Do something different in your routine     I think mixing up the routine can help get

WEEK 7: Overcoming social anxiety

Working as a Pocketnest intern week 7: July 27th-August 2nd:     I have always been somewhat "shy" growing up. My face would get red when someone called my name, I was always afraid to raise my hand when I knew the answer, and I avoided phone calls. This is something I try to get over, and I've always tried to push my limits and do things out of my comfort zone. For example, I would perform in talent shows even though I knew I wasn't great at singing. I wanted to feel "normal". I would try and go up to people I somewhat knew and start a small conversation. These internal challenges helped me become less shy, but I still feel socially anxious at times.       Over the past years, I have felt more confident and comfortable with myself, but I still get crazy butterflies in my stomach when I am in the spotlight, and nervous when I talk to new people. Every week I question myself "how will I ever be successful  in life, when it's so hard for me to talk to
