Working as a Pocketnest Intern week 3: June 29-July 5th
A challenge I faced this week was considering many suggestions, and trying to accommodate each and every one of them. Working as an intern, it is hard to distinguish what I can or can't do right off the bat. This is why I believe I am going back and forth with trying new ideas and trying to do exactly what the company I am working for wants me to do. I personally love hearing everyone's ideas and suggestions when I turn in my rough cuts. It makes me more creative, and opens up my perspective.
I have been working on the same 50 second project for three whole weeks. Editing takes awhile, and it isn't the most easy task to do in the world. It takes a lot of patience, and perfecting. The main reason why it has taken me longer than expected is because of how much revising I had to do. I would send in rough cut updates, and receive great feedback and suggestions to work off on. The tasks became more challenging once more people from the company stepped in to give me suggestions, and realizing some of the suggestions clashed into each other. It was expected that everyone has different expectations and opinions, of course. This is completely normal for many things we do in our personal life.
-Studying for a test, failing just to learn from mistakes, and perfect the strategy to receive the best results.
-Learning how to drive/learning how to ride a bike, takes patience, perfecting, and trying again until you get it right.
-Working out, challenging yourself each time, perfecting form, and doing what works best for YOU
These are just a few life examples of ways we overcome "failing" and trying to get the best result.

WEEK 6: Editing Tips
Working as a Pocketnest intern week 6: July 20th-July 26th: Only 3 more weeks left until my time as an intern comes to an end. I am so grateful to have this amazing opportunity. Here are some editing tips and tricks I found useful when editing a video that is a little bit outside of your comfort zone. Making a voiceover A challenge I encountered this week, was having to create a voiceover. This voiceover is supposed to go over graphic motion images for the in-app video. Creating a voiceover may seem innocent, but once you start, you realize how hard it actually is to create an engaging voiceover. Here are my tips on creating a voiceover. 1. Record on a good mic Investing in a decent mic is key to creating a professional voiceover. I bought mine off of amazon for $30, and it is easy to use. I like to record my voiceover on imovie, or my iphone. Then i like to replay it after it is done. Make sure not to stand too close to the mic, or it could sound muffled. 2.Keep going, don'
